I was about 14 years old when my mother and sister decided they had had enough retail sales, and now instead they were going to go clean other people’s houses. After taking an ad out in the local paper, and scheduling the very first cleaning, my mother asked if I would accompany her to clean this first house. I don’t remember my level of enthusiasm – House cleaning Randolph, NJ – at the idea, but I’m sure I agreed to keep her company without much difficulty; my mother has always been spontaneous and creative with wild off the wall ideas, and since it was summer, and school was out, I didn’t have much else going on. Although she did all the work, and I was there mostly for moral support, I am sure I contributed with some dusting and vacuuming.
