I’ve been wondering, what makes a residential cleaning company good? I don’t spend a lot of time studying the competition, since I choose instead to listen for the keywords buried deep in the conversations—via phone and email—I have with our customers. But, I’ve arrived at the conclusion that a review of the company’s history may hold the answer to the question.
My mother cleaned her first house almost 30 years ago. And, per a conversation I had with her recently (she retired four years ago), she reminded me that when she had the residential cleaning idea, which also entailed leaving her retail sales job, (a maid service in Randolph, NJ) it was not so she could have a few houses she could clean, but instead her vision was to embark on a journey to build a company.
